General Piercing Care

  • Wash Your Hands - Always wash your hands thoroughly before touching your piercing.

  • Clean Twice Daily - Use a mild sea salt solution. Soak a clean paper towel or non-woven gauze in the solution and gently clean around the piercing.

  • Avoid Over-Cleaning - Cleaning more than twice daily can cause irritation and delay healing

  • Do Not Twist or Rotate - Moving the jewelry can introduce bacteria and damage healing tissue.

  • Avoid Harsh Products - No alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, Bactine, or ointments, as they can slow healing and irritate the piercing.

  • Shower Instead of baths - Bathtubs can harbor bacteria. If you must take a bath, keep your piercing out of the water.
